Memorial at Albertinaplatz

The memorial is a statue of a Jewish man cleaning the streets and the new installations shows videos of people laughing and having a good time.
As one my interpret, it is probably meant to humiliate the statue and resemble the tense situation before it escalated and Jews were send to concentration camps.

There are always reminders of the past all around us if one is just aware of them but I do think that monuments are important pieces to remember history and the outcomes that result from it.

I really hope that someday we can live and let other people live their lives without any wars.

    1. I agree! I also felt very uncomfortable and the laughing people in the video were creepy but by achieving an emotional response from by-standers, the creator did a good job in my opinion!
